Hi, I’m Alina.
My name is Alina, and I use this space for a structured exploration of the world. I write about topics that fascinate me. At the moment, they include artificial intelligence, consciousness, entrepreneurship, and economics. As both the world and I change, I expect the topics to evolve too.
I hope to find those of you who are fascinated by the matters I am writing about as much as I am. If you find my texts interesting, have a specific disagreement, an unusual idea, or something I should read, I would love to hear from you.
As for my formal credentials, I completed an MPhil in Finance and Economics at Cambridge on a full scholarship. Before that, I graduated summa cum laude from the HSE–NES programme in Moscow. I have worked as a research assistant at Stanford and as a data analyst for the World Bank. I have been part of AI labs and early-stage startups. These experiences taught me a lot of useful things, but most importantly, they taught me the importance of constant curiosity.
